A $100 non-refundable deposit per quarter animal reserves your beef. Deposit is due by October 10th, unless we sell out earlier. Whole steers $500 deposit.
Our beef price for October 2025 is $5.00 per pound hanging weight for mixed cuts. Our ground beef only quarters are $3.50 per pound hanging weight.
Butchering costs are in addition to this price . All fees combined, the butcher price averages about $1.25 per pound hanging weight. Broken down, you pay the butcher for processing your portion of the slaughter and disposal fees plus .95 (95 cents) per pound hanging weight (standard cut). You pay extra for any special requests. Burger only butcher price is processing fees plus $1.00 per pound hanging weight. https://www.4starmeat.com/ Check their website for updated prices.

Our scheduled time for butchering is once yearly in mid-October. The beef is available about two weeks later.
After the butcher comes to the farm, we will give your name and phone number to them. Starting Oct. 10 you can go to the 4-Star website and place your cutting order. https://www.cognitoforms.com/CommunityCollaborative1/_4StarMeatCoBeefProcessingCutSheet When ordering a quarter, be sure to specify “1/2 of 1/2” in the “cut” drop down menu. Also, where it says “farmer” be sure to put Butler Creek Farm. We will provide the weight of your share.
If you need help understanding how the ordering process works, call the butcher and they will help you, 541-689-1350. They will also let you know your processing costs and when your beef will need to get picked up. You pay them separately from Butler Creek Farm.
Around this same time Butler Creek Farm will call or email you with your balance due to us. Balance needs to be paid before you pick up your beef. We take checks, cash or cashier’s check.
The meat will be packaged, frozen and ready for delivery or pick up approximately 10-14 days after butchering.
Delivery is available in limited areas for a fee of $50 per quarter. Email or call us for specifics. Sorry, we no longer deliver to Bend.
